French ***holes!

Manholes are a newish fascination of mine. I began to take notice of them on my first trip to Paris in 2006, and have since began ‘collecting’ photos interesting ones when I travel. Because signs, house numbers, cemeteries, etc, aren’t enough things to collect.

The images here are a mix from Antibes, Nice, and Saint-Raphaël taken in the summers of 20017 & 18.

Regarding the “French ***holes!” title, yes my sense of humor stalled when I was about twelve.

Our visits to Antibes this year and last have yielded a wide array of interesting typographic finds. Many images were sorted into more specialized categories (building names, house numbers, metal letters), and these are just a few other miscellaneous pieces of lettering that I was intrigued by.
