This is a web based project with three distinct, intertwining themes. The first aspect is of a bicycle that I built. The second deals with the presentation of the bike. The page content and design is a parody of infomercials/miracle diet pills/generic web design. The texts are "true" testimonials taken from diet pill websites, altered slightly for my context. The images, the final element, are a play off the before and after photos of these life-changing phenomena. They are not the typical before and afters; these people have undergone impossible changes dealing with stereotypes and questions of why we feel the need to change in the first place. As with the text, they are taken from stock images, thus adding to the generic nature of the ideas presented.
